Fax Broadcast Marketing
Fax Broadcasting is a form of direct marketing. It
is used in the place of, or in addition to Telephone
Canvassing, Direct Mail and Email Broadcasts. There are
many advantages to using this form of marketing. It is
extremely cost effective - no printing, postage or labor
costs. In addition, response is normally higher, while
people throw away Direct Mail, are irritated by
telephone sales people and may object to an Email
Broadcast, they are less likely to throw away a fax
without reading it.
There are two main elements to a Fax Broadcast. The
first is the list of companies that will receive your
fax. We supply the database but if you have your own,
with fax numbers, then you can use it. If we are
supplying the data we need to know who your target
audience is. We then tailor the database to your
requirements. This is done using the SIC Code (or codes)
of the companies you want to reach and other criteria,
such as number of employees, gross sales, location (by
state, county, town, zip code or tel. area code) and
many others. Once our search is complete we tell you how
many companies we have that match your criteria. You can
then fax some or all of them.
The second element is the document you want to fax to
the companies on the database. This would be your
design, would normally describe the Products/Services
you provide and then direct the recipient to call you or
visit your Web-Site. The document should have a powerful
headline to grab the attention of the readers, be
informative but not too long winded. Other forms of
document regularly used are Order Forms and News
Letters.
Response to a Fax Broadcast can sometimes be increased
by sending a second fax to the companies on the
database. This can be in the form of a reminder notice
that may jog the memory of the reader. In some cases a
third reminder is used.
Once we have the database and the document to be faxed
we can start broadcasting almost immediately. You can
choose to fax the entire database in one go or stagger
the broadcast to, say, several hundred companies a day.
